ShareLife Speaker Series

You may not realize that invisible battles are fought every day by those grappling with challenges of mental health and addiction. Each step taken is a courageous effort in the face of overwhelming obstacles. If you or someone you know is carrying these burdens, please know that support is available. You are not alone.

We invite you to join us for our ShareLife Speaker Series event, "Healing with Compassion: Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery," on Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. This gathering will feature Robin Griller, Executive Director of St. Michael's Homes—an agency you support through ShareLife. Robin will share insights, stories of hope, and practical guidance on extending a hand of understanding and support to those struggling within our community and our lives. It may also help you or someone you know and love.

Message from the Executive Director

Your yes manifests God's love

Thank you for all that you are doing for ShareLife!

As we approach the second ShareLife Sunday collection taking place the weekend of April 27-28, we have achieved $3.933 million toward our over goal of $14 million.

With the second collection taking place next week, this weekend provides an opportunity to see the ShreaLIfe Video (Link Below) if you have not already done so.

This year’s video features the story of Maria, who has been helped through the Safe Centre of Peel, part of the Catholic Family Services (CFS) agency in Peel-Dufferin. In the video, Sharon Mayne-Devine, CEO of CFS Peel-Dufferin, shares that one woman every day is being strangled by their partner, while another six are not reporting an issue of intimate partner violence. She emphasizes, "This is an epidemic in our community."

Our support for ShareLife helps provide support to those who are dealing with issues of physical abuse. Through our Catholic Family Services agencies, we are providing an important service to help those in need of support at a critical time. In the video, it is said that an individual who turns to a CFS agency understands that the community cares about them - and this is at the heart of why ShareLife is important.

When we support our annual appeal, we are doing more than making a financial contribution – we are extending the Hands of Christ to those who are turning to our agencies, to be a blessing for them at a time when they need it most.

Through our ShareLife campaign, we are making an impact on the lives of those who need our help the most.

Thank you for all that you are doing to support ShareLife at your parish!
