Welcome back!
We have missed you.
We are so excited to get this new ministry year started. We have an exciting year ahead, stay tuned for our calendar overview next issue. But for now check out all the launch dates in each of the regions, as usual we are kicking our year off with our socials. Be sure not to miss out!
Last issue we spoke about the importance of spiritual friendships and community. Now we want to bring it back to our own personal relationship with Christ. This year, we thought we would have an overarching theme to the ministry year - Stay with us Lord.
In one of Our Holy Father, Pope Leo’s answers to one of the young adults' questions: "How can we truly encounter the Risen Lord in our lives and be sure of His presence even in the midst of trials and uncertainties?” His Holiness answered:
Be united with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Adore Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, the source of eternal life. Study, work and love according to the example of Jesus, the good Teacher who always walks beside us. As we seek what is good, let us ask Him at every step: stay with us, Lord (cf. Lk 24:29). Stay with us, because without you we cannot do the good we desire. You want what is our good; indeed Lord you are our good. Those who encounter you also want others to encounter you, because your word is a light brighter than any star, illuminating even the darkest night.
One important change we wanted to share with you for this year is that each of our nights will include either Mass or Eucharistic Adoration and Confessions. The sacraments are an essential element to building a strong relationship with our Lord. It is through these sacraments that we encounter Jesus Christ and his unfailing love and mercy. Life can get overwhelming with decisions, navigating friendships and relationships, school and careers, but the sacraments is what helps us stay grounded and rooted in God’s love.
We want this to be a community newsletter, which means we want your voice in it. If you have a reflection, a poem, or anything you would like to share, please send it our way. This is the place to spread your creative wings. Perhaps there is a book, podcast, or song that was crucial to your faith journey – we would love to include it in an upcoming issue.
